Thank you for sharing the webinar. I’ve registered.
]]>For nearly 15 years I have worked with writing clients. I have coached some to write, edited and proofed for some, and ghosted for others. And I have helped many publish their works through a wide assortment of outlets.
Although I have written since I was 10 years old, I am yet to publish my own works. That is not to say I have not written anything, but I just never got around to actually taking my own writing to the next level. That’s an odd statement from one who has taught others to successfully work with SMART goals all these years!
At the beginning of 2017 I made the decision to take my writing to the web in the form of a blog. And like you said, “the good, the bad, and the oh-so-ugly” are there on my blog for all to see. But as a result of that major decision (I am FAR beyond your 37-year mark!) I am now writing my own first book to publish in 2018 with more to follow.
Your insights in this post are right on, in my humble opinion. After reading it, I am excited to move forward with my own writing and blogging goals. I know I have started down a path I will never regret!
Thanks again for sharing!
]]>Since then, I’ve almost completed an original work (it needs one more section finished up and then editing), but I still have one fanfiction dangling that needs finished so the readers and I can have peace. My goals are to finish that WIP and then to get back to my original story and see it published. I feel like I have a huge clock tied to my back and can hear the ticking constantly! Editing and my total avoidance of it is the biggest stumbling block to my writing. Its just so hard to edit.
